The Twisting Tale of Talley’s Folly
Posted on Feb 20, 2013
Can you find love in 97 minutes? Danny Burstein and Sarah Paulson return to Broadway in Roundabout Theatre Company’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play about finding love when you’ve nearly given up looking.
This unusual courtship takes place during World War II. The beautiful set design places the characters in a decaying Victorian boathouse on a perfect moonlit July evening in rural St. Louis.
Sarah plays a spinster Sally. Danny plays Matt, a Jewish accountant from St. Louis and they banter back and forth on their way to love each other.
This production is best for older audiences that understand how fragile relationships really are; too long and too slow for the younger set. The production runs without an intermission, despite what the program mis-print says. This is a plus for an early 7:30 PM start and then dinner afterwards in a neighborhood restaurant.
Closing 05 May 2013
