59th Annual Macy’s 4th of July Celebration

Your Choice of Brooklyn or Manhattan

Macy’s Fireworks on July 4, 2017
Macy’s philosophy of “giving back “celebrates patriotism with 5 barges, 54,000 shells and 3.5 million people lining the shores of New York’s East River.  What does it mean to be American?  The Fourth of July celebrates the American Spirit and why people have immigrated from all over the world to come together to be a part of the American dream.

Originally, the fireworks were on July 1, 1958 on the Hudson River to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the store’s founding.  In 1976, Macy’s partnered with the Walt Disney Company to celebrate the nation’s Bicentennial with a fireworks display which has turned into the celebration we love to experience today.

With the NYC skyline in front of you and the fireworks display over the East River, the evening is magical.  The show starts at 9:25 PM and lasts approximately 25 minutes.
