A Lovely Sunday in New York….Brunch at the Breslin and Macy’s 37th Annual Spring Flower Show
Posted on Mar 30, 2011
The Breslin’s sensational Sunday Brunch, Poached Eggs with curried lentils, yogurt and cilantro is just fabulous. Located in the Ace Hotel, 20 W 29th Street, the restaurant has a retro feel and is rather charming. However, the noise level is ridiculously loud and the wait can be 45 minutes. Are the eggs really worth it? Decide for yourself.
The 37th Annual Macy’s Flower Show offers tours every ½ hour between 11 AM and 4 PM from the 35th Street and Broadway entrance. You can see over 6,000 live plants displayed among 10 mini-gardens. The overall look will remain the same, however, some plants will change weekly as some flowers die and their replacements are brought in. Fig and coco trees allow children to see how the fruit looks on the tree! The crowds are huge, so try to go during the week.
