Fabulous Flavors, Fine Indian Dining Spot

Posted on Mar 8, 2011

Fabulous Flavors and Fine Dining are the perfect marriage in this contemporary setting at Junoon Indian Restaurant in Chelsea from Restaurateur Rajesh Bhardwaj.  Perfect for a quiet romantic dinner for two or a Board of Directors Meeting in a semi-private room.

There is something for everyone’s dietary needs.  Created by Executive Chef Vikas Khanna, Junoon’s menu showcases the five celebrated cooking elements from India’s vast culinary regions: Tandoor (Clay Oven), Sigri (Open Fire Pit), Patthar (Stone Cooking), Tawa (Cast Iron Cooking) and Handi (Pot Cooking).

The Piri-Piri Goan Shrimp combines avocado, Jicama and Meyer lemon vinaigrette, the

Kakori Kebab combines minced lamb, cardamom, green papaya and spiced yogurt.

The chicken Malvan combines fresh coconut, green chilies, cilantro and bay leaf.

The wine list by the class has reasonable and interesting choices.
