Conservatory Tour featuring The Orchid Show, New York Botanical Gardens, 200th Street & Kazimiroff Boulevard, Bronx. Explore the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, an acre of plants under glass, with one of the Garden's docents. The Conservatory takes you on an "ecotour" around the world, through 11 distinct habitats-including two types of rain forest; deserts of the Americas and Africa; and aquatic and carnivorous plant displays. 2:30pm. Whitney Biennial 2006: Day for Night, Whitney Museum of American Art, 945 Madison Avenue. Whitney Biennial 2006: Day for Night takes its title from the 1973 film by François Truffaut, whose original French name, La Nuit Américaine, denotes the cinematic technique of shooting night scenes artificially during the day, using a special filter.
