Biblical Art and the Asian Imagination, Museum of Biblical Art, 1865 Broadway, 212-408-1500. This exhibition explores how the Christian story is adapted to appeal to a largely non-Christian audience. Employing such materials as rubber, carpet, painted aluminum, Styrofoam, and paint, Rudolf Stingel's work questions and disrupts the viewer's understanding and experience of an art object. Although Stingel's work does not always involve paint on canvas, it continually reflects upon some of the fundamental questions concerning painting today. Runs through Sunday, October 14.

Every show has two full sets of live music, with a DJ spinning more favorites between sets.
Bag Check: Bags may not be brought onto the dance floor, and we strongly recommend that you leave your bags at home, but if you need to bring them, please check them at the bag check in the Avery Fisher Hall lobby.
Dance Partners: You do not need bring a dance partner to participate. Lots of dancers arrive solo for the lessons and dancing. There are always enough partners to go around.
Dance Floor: Photography and sound recording devices are strictly prohibited. Food and drinks are not permitted.
Rain Policy: If it rains before 8:30, we’ll wait to see if it stops; if it does, we’ll go on with the lesson or show. If steady rain continues after 8:30, we will cancel the show. You may bring back your bracelet or ticket for a future evening of dancing, or you may receive a refund. If rain starts anytime after the completion of the first set, we will be unable to make refunds or exchanges.
