Thank you for all of your comments about the monthly newsletter. We are delighted that you are enjoying it. Please do visit our new website for program details with pricing. You will find the prices for transfers, tours, helicopter rides, all listed there.

Thank you to Wendy Perrin and Condé Nast Traveler for choosing us as their exclusive “Destination Specialist for New York City” for the third consecutive year!  We are thrilled to be included amongst the top travel specialists around the world.

I didn't know you did that!

Can you help us host a poker night for our top clients in a special venue?
Poker has become very popular as a way to for clients to mingle and get to know one another.  Let us know the number of people, day of the week and your budget so that we can help you.

What can you offer for spouse programs for our meeting in April?
You’ll find over 185 ways to experience New York by area of interest in either four hour or six hour options with descriptions and pricing by clicking on our website Escorted Experiences.  Choose the category of interest, and then proceed to click on the number 4 hour or 6 hours to bring up the details of that experience.  Every program is private and custom designed for each group or individual.  Therefore, use it as guideline and let us add or subtract elements for you.

What can you do to help me celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday?
Depending upon the interest of your daughter and the family’s budget, anything is possible to help her build her career by having her come to New York and learn something.

For instance, this month, we are helping a daughter explore NY through the world of art and architecture since that’s her major in college.  Starting with a private tour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the guests will continue to Chelsea to have a light bite of lunch and then explore some of the hot galleries.  They’ll meet an artist in his/her studio and see a private print making demonstration.  Then, back to the hotel for a change of clothes, and they’re off to explore the architecture of New York City by private helicopter where you can see how the shapes of the buildings create the magic of the skyline from the air.  Then, it’s off to see the City as the lights from the buildings twinkle across the harbor looking at the skyline from a private yacht with a dinner cruise and DJ for dancing with friends and family.  This inter-generational experience is perfect for all ages.

What’s the hottest new show that will open this spring?
Legally Blonde will have its debut January 23rd – February 24th in San Francisco and begin on Broadway at the Palace Theater on April 3rd. For trips with daughters this spring, you’ll want to call us to create that perfect package for girls 10 – 15. Yes, it’s OK to be smart and pretty.

We received a very interesting call this past month. A travel agent wanted to know if we received money for our website or newsletter from advertisers.  She explained that she was looking through our website under the section called Kitt’s Picks to see my opinions about the category of both Theater and Entertainment and also my choices for Restaurants.  She wanted reassurance that the comments were not based upon paid endorsements.

We assured her that we have never taken money for advertising.  In fact, when I make a reservation at a restaurant, often I make it under another name.  The service, quality of food and ambiance are all part of the dining experience.  We want our clients to experience consistent levels of quality whether the guest is known to the restaurant or unknown.  Gracious hospitality is just that, a way to say hello and make someone feel special because it is the right thing to do.

Earlier in the newsletter, I mentioned Danny Meyer’s new book Setting the Table.  It’s a great example of what one man can accomplish by providing consistent quality and truly caring about each individual guest. Danny Meyer's restaurants include: Union Square Cafe, Gramercy Tavern, Tabla, Eleven Madison Avenue, Jazz Standard, and the 5 food and beverage outlets at the Museum of Modern Art including The Modern. At DNYKG we have the same belief.  Our goal is to allow everyone, whether they live in NYC or are just visiting to go beyond the world they already know and discover something truly special by allowing us to hear a request and turn it into an unusual experience.

When a restaurant is on the DNYKG list, it means that the owners, managers, servers, chefs, and team members working in both the front and back of the house will provide the best possible experience for our guests because that’s what they want to do.

With over 20,000 restaurants in NYC there is a cuisine and price for everyone.  There are many restaurants that are not listed.  If you wish to find out why, feel free to call us.

In the meantime, explore some of the great restaurants that are going to be offering meals during Restaurant Week.  Most of these establishments are providing menus at a fraction of what they normally charge.  Therefore, each server and bus boy’s income is down significantly.  Please remember to tip generously.  May we always remember to try to give more than we receive!

Here’s to a great 2007.
